Virginia Woolf

Como sabem, vamos começar a ler uma obra da escritora Virginia Woolf. Aqui ficam algumas informações para poderem conhecer melhor esta escritora.

Virginia Woolf nasceu em Londres, em 1882. 

Filha de um editor, Sir Leslie Stephen, ela recebeu uma educação esmerada, freqüentando desde cedo o mundo literário.

Em 1912, casa-se com Leonard Woolf, com quem funda, em 1917, a Hogarth Press, editora que revelou escritores como Katherine Mansfield e T.S. Eliot.

Fez parte do grupo Bloomsbury, círculo de intelectuais sofisticados que, passada a I Guerra Mundial, investiria contra as tradições literárias, políticas e sociais da era vitoriana.

Toda a vida de Virginia Woolf foi dedicada à literatura. 

Em 1941, vítima de grave depressão, ela suicida-se.

St. Patrick's day

Este ano o dia de St. Patrick vai ser celebrado a 17 de março, ou seja, na próxima segunda feira. 

Vamos transformar a nossa escola com o espírito irlandês. 

Vamo-nos vestir de verde e usar os nossos chapéus de leprechaun.

Quem quiser fazer o seu chapeu durante o fim-de-semana aqui fica o molde. Não se esqueçam de ampliar o molde!

Os chapéus devem ser elaborados em cartolina verde.

Bom trabalho.
